Quality that impresses

We use plain bearings exclusively from the German brand manufacturer igus. They are generously sized and therefore run very quietly. The lift is driven by a 230 V tubular motor SL45 20/15 with 20 Nm torque (SW60 shaft) at 15 rpm. With around 40 kg of lifting force it has plenty of reserve, as the rated load is limited to 1–25 kg. The upper and lower end positions can be set precisely on the motor. On request, the lift can also be triggered via the projector’s trigger output using a relay. The motor is switched like a roller-shutter motor – by switch, radio remote or smart home systems such as Alexa, Apple Home, Loxone, KNX or Homematic. With 60 cm travel, an installation height of just 10.7 cm is enough.

Flat design with recessed motor unit

When retracted, the projector is invisible: the room looks tidy and the device is protected. At the push of a button the lift extends and the projector is ready for use. It stands inside the lift or is mounted underneath – for upside-down mounting we recommend rubber feet. No additional false ceiling is required. The recessed motor unit leaves the maximum platform space. Platform and mounting plates are made of 6 mm aluminium and do not warp under load. Optionally, a plasterboard panel can be fitted to the underside so that the retracted lift sits flush with the ceiling.

20 mm solid material, igus bearings

Projectors must be moved gently – without jerking or bouncing. That is exactly what the well-designed bearing system of our scissor lift ensures: it moves smoothly and steadily into the desired position. The advantages of the igus plain bearings at a glance:

  • lubrication-free
  • corrosion-resistant
  • low maintenance
  • good media resistance
  • high compressive strength
  • low friction
  • high mechanical damping
  • insensitive to dirt
  • low weight
  • high wear resistance

FAQs

The most important questions about our ceiling lifts – answered briefly and clearly.

How do I install the projector ceiling lift?

The lift is supplied pre-assembled and ready to connect – including drive motor, electronics housing and connection cable. A radio set (transmitter and receiver) is not included in the scope of delivery and is available separately as an option. You install it in the ceiling or in a suspended ceiling; no additional false ceiling is required. The projector can be mounted either inside or underneath the lift.

Can I install the ceiling lift myself?

Yes. With a little DIY skill, you can easily install it yourself – illustrated installation instructions are included. The final 230 V mains connection should be made by an electrician. If you have any questions, we will support you free of charge via WhatsApp or email.

How is the projector lift controlled – KNX, Loxone, Homematic or a roller shutter switch?

It is controlled just like a roller shutter: via any roller shutter or blind switch or actuator. This means the ceiling lift can be integrated into practically any smart home system – for example KNX, Loxone, Homematic, Gira, Apple Home or Alexa. A radio set (transmitter and receiver) is not included in the scope of delivery, but can be ordered as an option.

Do I need a suspended ceiling?

No, not necessarily. Thanks to their low installation depth, our lifts also fit into shallow ceiling voids; the BA 60×60 is specially designed for grid ceilings. Optionally, plasterboard panels can be fitted to the underside so that the lift disappears completely into the ceiling.

How heavy can my projector be?

The rated load depends on the model: the MINI ceiling lift is designed for 1–15 kg, the Ultra-compact L for 1–20 kg, and the Ultra-compact XL, the JUMBO series and the BA 60×60 for 1–25 kg each. This means the larger models can also carry large, high-brightness laser projectors. The lifts are driven by 230 V tubular motors with 10, 20 or 40 Nm – depending on the model – so the drive always runs with power in reserve.
