A car dealership wanted to close its display forecourt at night, with no gate and no additional stand-alone control box: three retractable V4A bollards are connected directly to the existing PLC and to the workshop's compressed air.
A car dealership in Austria has secured its display forecourt at night with retractable bollards made of stainless steel V4A: fixed at the ends, retractable in the middle, operated by radio with rolling code – with no hydraulic motor or electric motors in the bollard, powered by compressed air from its own workshop.
A courtyard in southern Germany, laid by hand in small granite setts with mosaic rosettes – right next to the turning head of a residential street. Anyone who wanted to turn drove over the paving. Three retractable V4A bollards now mark the boundary, with no gate and no fence.
An open driveway in front of a modern house: strangers parked and turned there, and the cars stood unprotected in front of the carport. Four retractable V4A bollards now draw the boundary to the street – flush with the paving, in keeping with the architecture, and locked against theft at night.
Crash test: 12 tonnes at 80 km/h – stopped by a single bollard
A 12-tonne lorry, 80 km/h, around 3 megajoules of impact energy – head-on into a single security bollard made of stainless steel V4A with a steel core. Tested at CTS Crashtest-Service: cab sheared off, body buckled, the bollard stands. Why 190 cm of installation depth makes the difference.
A building right next to the street, the parking spaces in front of it – and twice a vehicle in the wall of the house. Today, seven retractable V4A bollards stop any car before it reaches the façade, keep unauthorised parkers away and protect the owner's vehicles against theft at night.

Salty air, drifting sand, storms: since 2018, a single retractable V4A bollard between two boulders has closed the access on the beach path to the Sansibar on Sylt. Pedestrians always get through, suppliers and the VIP shuttle open it by chip card, radio or intercom – and the lid plate bears the Sansibar logo from our own CNC milling machine.
Four bollards opposite the Bucerius-Passage, two at the police station: since October 2025, six pneumatic retractable V4A bollards with a CNC-milled Hamburg coat of arms have secured the access roads to City Hall. Operated from the police station via Loxone, with all the technology redundant in a secured basement.
Installed by the book: retractable bollard in granite paving – fleece, sand bed, no concrete
Detached house with carport in an upland region, courtyard of small granite setts: a retractable standard V4A bollard with radio control was installed here exactly as we would wish – pit lined with fleece, sand bed compacted, no concrete, and the granite setts run in an arc right up to the cover plate. Five photos from installation to finished paving.
An open courtyard of fine small granite setts, right on the street – and therefore the most convenient place for any stranger to turn round. Six retractable V4A bollards now close off the entrance before the paving is ruined. With a video of the system.
A supermarket opposite, an open passage in front: the private parking spaces of this residential complex in the Greater Berlin area were constantly occupied by strangers' vehicles. Two retractable 160 kg V4A bollards have put an end to that – without a gate, without a barrier arm, without anyone having to get out.

Distracted at the wheel – delivery van rams a bollard, and the bollard holds
A distracted driver drives his delivery van head-on into the raised bollard. The result: front-end damage to the vehicle, nothing on the bollard – it carries on working perfectly normally afterwards.
Just driving onto the property? Not any more! – access to a house secured
A house with an open, wide paved driveway right on the street – and for strangers the most convenient place to turn, park and manoeuvre. A single retractable V4A bollard with red LED ring now secures the access day and night, without a gate or fence.
No more turning – driveway secured with three bollards
The wide driveway in front of the house was a turning area for half the village. Today, three retractable stainless steel bollards with red LED rings draw a clear boundary – and disappear into the paving at the push of a button when the residents drive themselves.
Residential area closed off – retractable bollards stop through traffic and unauthorised parking
Sports cars protected in the Greater Berlin area – bollards against car theft and parking dents
The level driveway in front of the garage of a hillside house was the only turning area far and wide – parcel services and delivery vans turned there every day, right by the house and just missing the wall. Signs did not help. Two retractable V4A bollards with LED lighting now close the driveway at the push of a button, and when lowered the house looks as before.
Airport hangar secured against theft: 24 retractable security bollards along the hangar front
Aircraft and technology worth millions behind a large door: 24 retractable V4A security bollards close off the entire front of an airport hangar. With a mechanical height lock – anyone who cuts the lines locks themselves out. With photos of the installation without concrete.
Retractable bollards in a Lidl car park – closing off parking spaces, creating a turning area
In the car park of a Lidl store, parked customers blocked the turning area for the delivery lorry. Retractable V4A bollards now close off the spaces only for deliveries – and have recently been extended by three more bollards in front of the sliding gate.
