Neu in unserem Maschinenpark

Contract sawing up to 530 × 530 mm – our AMADA DYNASAW 530 CNC band saw

We have invested again in our manufacturing quality. New in our machine park - AMADA band saw machine DYNASAW530.

When we purchased our AMADA DYNASAW 530 CNC band saw, it was first and foremost about one thing: cutting our V4A stainless steel bollard tubes to length cleanly and squarely. For a retractable bollard that will later sit flush in the paving, the cut has to be right. But the saw can do much more than cut our own tubes – and other businesses now make use of that too.

In brief: as a contract service, we saw solid material, tubes and profiles up to 530 × 530 mm – steel, stainless steel and aluminium, from one-offs to small series, also with free-issue material. Heavy parts up to around one tonne are no problem.

What the saw can do

The DYNASAW 530 is an automatic band saw. The cutting range extends to 530 mm diameter for round material and up to 530 × 530 mm for square bar and profiles. The material lies on a roller conveyor, is firmly clamped in the vice and automatically pushed forward to the next cut by the feed. Saw band, feed and coolant are all controlled – resulting in a straight cut that does not wander even with large cross-sections.

The roller conveyor in front of the saw also takes long bars and heavy tubes.

In everyday terms this means: we can carry out cuts to length that would be impossible with a manual band saw in terms of both time and accuracy. And we can accept workpieces for which many smaller workshops have no machine.

A connecting rod from a ship's engine – around one tonne

The most unusual job on the saw so far was a connecting rod from a large marine diesel engine. The part weighs around one tonne, the big end is wider than a car tyre, and the shank merges into a flange with the bearing cap and its bolts. The customer needed a clean separating cut through the connecting rod.

The connecting rod lies with its big end between the clamping jaws, with the shank projecting backwards beyond the roller conveyor.

A part like this is not simply placed on the saw table. We lifted it in with the forklift, aligned it in the vice and made the cut with reduced feed – connecting rod steel is tough, and on a workpiece of this size the saw band should not have to be changed halfway through.

View from the front: the saw band starts at the big end, and the clamping jaws hold the part on both sides.

Round bar from solid stock

Day-to-day business usually looks like this: solid round bar, often in sizes that almost fill the saw's cutting range. The customer brings the bar or we source the material, we saw the sections to length, and the blanks go on for turning or milling – in-house at our site or at the customer's.

The finished cut surface: flat, burr-free and without wandering – so the section can go straight into the lathe.

What we saw as a contract service

  • Solid round and square bar up to 530 mm
  • Tubes and hollow sections up to 530 × 530 mm
  • Steel, stainless steel (V2A, V4A) and aluminium
  • One-offs and series cuts in small batches
  • Free-issue material or material sourced by us
  • Heavy workpieces up to around one tonne – forklift and crane available

On request, we can also take care of further machining after sawing: milling and turning on our CNC machines, welding stainless steel and steel, assembly of sub-assemblies. More on our about us page.
